Who We Are

A Craic Team of Stand-Up Comedians

Lady Bits got together in 2024. We first performed together (individually) at the same gig in Drygate, Glasgow as part of a charity Stand-Up Comedy Event in June of that year. Since then, as well as us individually performing all over Scotland, we have teamed up to create the Lady Bits shows.

We sold out our debut Lady Bits show as part of The Glasgow International Comedy Festival in March 2025. We expanded the shows (with The Edinburgh Fringe in mind) and performed Preview Shows in Glasgow, Falkirk and Hamilton which were very well received. We have since delivered 2 wonderful extended shows featuring some guest spots by other invited female comedians at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival and received excellent audience reviews via the Edinburgh Fringe website.

We are looking forward to bringing Lady Bits back to the Glasgow International Comedy Festival with 2 shows scheduled for March 2026, and who knows what in between :) Perhaps you have an event coming up and you'd like some big laughs.... Get in touch :)

Meet The 'Bits'

 Paola Barolo

Paola Barolo is an out-of-town comedian with a sharp, relatable style and a knack for finding humour in life's everyday chaos. Drawing on her experiences of neurodivergency, womanhood and adjusting to life in Scotland, she delivers smart, self-aware comedy that's as honest as it is hilarious.

With her quick wit, warmth and distinctive outsider perspective, Paola is fast becoming a fresh and memorable voice on the Scottish comedy scene.

Jen Thompson-Ross

Jen Thompson-Ross is a 2025 Laurel Awards finalist and a comedian who has a knack for finding the funny in life’s most unremarkable moments. With a dry, understated wit and a natural gift for storytelling, she delivers punchlines with quiet precision and flawless timing.

Whether she’s unpacking the drama of minor inconveniences or embracing the awkwardness of simply existing, Jen proves that the funniest person in the room isn’t always the loudest. She was part of a sold-out show at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, where her low-key brilliance left audiences laughing long after the lights came up.

 Gozie Joe Adigwe

Afro-Caledonian nearly describes Gozie. Add a hint of brass neck nosey wit and you're closer.

"I love and despair for humanity in equal measure. Telling jokes, being nostalgic and having a poke at the proclaimed elites is like, wow, a joy in the free world! I dip into my childhood in 70's pre-gentrified west end Glasgow - tenements full of characters and fables. Being a grown-up, menopause, being black and adverts all pondered along the way."

Laura Pryde

Laura is a Nobel prize winning biochemist, entrepreneur, secret agent and professional liar. Despite all the qualifications she spends most of her time pretending to be a grown up in roles such as  ‘Rosa’s Mum’,  with occasional appearances as a stand-up and actor.  She can usually be found paddling on the beach, but if you really need a word try instagram

Rebecca Margey

Tiny, gay and full of stories. She's got a wife, a chaotic cat and parents she loves - even when they are a little confused by the modern world.

Funny, heartfelt and just the right amount of 'what did she just say?'
